well finally i have time to talk about my amazing trip to ghadames ! we left tripoli around 2 pm coz of my presentation that took forever , went to nalut , i stole a picture for " qaser al haj " , poor thing that no body is taking care of it and it looks so bad ! nalut as a city looks so bad , so messy by the time it has an amazing view from all the sides and if they build it the right way it'll be like Greece with those white house on the mountain !!
we stopped around 4 or 5 pm to EAT coz i was talking about food like a baby in the car , i mean com on i didn't have breakfast coz of the presentation and i found out that they all ate before we start the trip NOT FAIR AT ALL .but alhamdulilah i made good noise in the car to make them stop and EAT lol we started again and there you go i slept AS USUAL lol .. my cousin said " do you have a turn off bottom ??? " lol coz they can't sleep in the car " but i can weeee " i woke up and started getting worried when the sunset started , the road is full of turns and ups and downs things + it was real dark ,, people, tripoli night is not a night at all , it's not even dark , that was a night and was extremely scary we all opened our eyes for my father who was driving and my cousin was confront of us ,, but guess what ..lights like the vision of the NY city at night we see in movies ..mashallah we all had a big smile , amazing ! weeeeeeee GHADAMES is real lol , we arrived after 7 hours ,my uncle's friend was waiting for us with the tour guy , took us to the house we'll stay in , 3 floors house with lots of bedrooms and each bedroom has a bathroom , it's clean and has everything you can need !! the guy said don't eat anything , your dinner today on us , so we waited and BOOOM 3 plates covered and he was like " fo
r men and women " we all went DUH ,, now how can we know which one is
for me and which one is for women lol "so it was ghadamsi fata with 2 boiled eggs for the NEW HIJRI SANA ..happy new year :)so my uncle started trying the covers as hats lol.. he was like " hmm that doesn't fit my head so it must be the LADIES gas3a " that was funny but we just ate !
all to bed !!!!!
8 am i'm so ready " let me inform you the reason i had extra fun there .. i love kids and the cuties baby was with us " HAMOOODI "..
morning the guy came , took us to the museum, a tiny visit coz they were fixing the big part but i can tell you the name of GHADAMES came from a long story but it is based on this " ghdi ames " ( yesterday's lunch ) lol i was like aweeee ,,yeah mama gave me the look of SHUTUP ya binit .
OLD CITY LU IS HERE with big trabilsi noisy family .. the city is so guite and we made a big 3 days noise LOL ,so the guy started explaining the ways , after he knew i did the report about it and my dad knows alot about it " architecturally " he said " ok i'll show you the ways and the life here and Mr. mohsin will explain the architecture " i was wearing a red scarf so my dad was using me a decoration in his picture DUH..coz they use the red color for patings "
so here r few pictures
the city has " houses , schools, mosques and farms " so we visited everything then we entered the farms after visiting the water place " 3ain al faras " the hours eye !!!!" , thanks to the unesco for training the young ghadamsi men how to renew their old city the same way the old ppl built and bring back the life to this amazing water place ! coz it was dead !dring dring ,, Friday prayer .. we ran back home to eat lunch and get ready to the SAND weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
we drove there,, my sister was about to fly LOL we made some tiny fun of her " lololol " ok there was a guy who is baking break in the hot sand YUM ,i was number one to reach the top of the mountain , but once i arrived i lost my breath and i thought i'll die ..sorry i'm still alive " wink " lol
we sat there enjoying the sunset then dring dring again time to come down !! weeeeeeeeeeeeee SKI lol i did it twice even my dad did it ,,, subhan allah the sand looks strange ,, hamoodi was eating it lol
we went down to eat the sandy bear with green tea,,,although i don't drink tea !, then i asked the guy to take us to the new hotel just to see it ! we drove there and i was amazed , mashallah so amazing ,, especially the bedrooms !! 100L.d a night for the room and 150 for the sweat ! and the boss is my cousin's friend so i'll have like 25 % lol inshallah

My father-in-law works in tourism and now I feel stupid for not going on a trip with him with all he was telling us about Ghadamis and the desert! Now I am encouraged, thanks for sharing your experience.
What a lovely vacation. I have enjoyed seeing your pictures and will look forward to seeing more. I am so glad that they are keeping the old buildings and just renewing the inside. Here is the United States they always plow down buildings and build brand new. I think that is very sad. Bravo for the wise people of Libya!!
I have heard that story about the name many years ago as well, I wonder if it is correct.

Chatalaine ... thanks :).. you know even in tripoli they r doing the same as USA !! i was amazed by the people of ghadames , they are very simple high educated people and more than nice , what i liked the most is their love for their culture and how they are doing their best to protect it !you can feel that their culture is their life !,, we are starting to lose that here in the big city , and you can feel that it's not one country !so sad eh !!!

yeah we passed by tamzeen and sooo many places , honestly i laughed alot in the car while reading the map , loool libya has lots of super funny names when it comes to those areas LOL
Tamzeen means "Sh3eer" in jbali :)
So I am from Sh3eer town! Yes, we eat a lot of sh3eer and qama7! lol
